How much does AI help cost a small Texas business in 2026?
The honest numbers for hiring AI help: what a monthly service costs, what training runs, what terms come with each, and the free first step before any money moves.

It is 8 p.m. and an owner in Georgetown is still at the desk. Someone at the chamber meeting said AI could write the quote replies. A vendor called and promised the moon but would not name a price until a discovery call. The owner closes the laptop, because a vague quote feels like a trap.
This article lays out the published prices so there is no guessing. Every number below comes from a pricing page an owner can read before any call. The same honesty applies to results: no savings are guaranteed, because none can be.
Why most AI pricing stays hidden
A lot of AI services quote only after a sales conversation, which makes comparison shopping impossible. The practical test is simple: ask any vendor for a written price before the second call. A vendor that publishes its prices, and states plainly that it guarantees nothing about savings, is giving you the information a purchase decision needs.
One Texas company works this way. Texas AI Lab, based in Williamson County in the Greater Austin area, publishes every price on its site. It sells two things: a monthly service where a real person from the team becomes the owner's AI helper, and hands-on training for a team. The numbers below are its published figures.
The monthly numbers
The monthly service, called AI Concierge, is a real person from the team who learns the business and stays with the owner, never an automated bot. The standard price is $1,500 a month plus a $750 one-time onboarding fee. Each month includes two 1-hour working calls on real tasks, voice messages and email between calls with no limit on questions, help with small setups, and a sounding board with accountability.
Two founding client spots are left. A founding client pays $1,000 a month, has the onboarding fee waived, and the price is locked for the first 12 months. At the founding price, the whole three-month starting commitment is $3,000, instead of $5,250 at the standard price.
The commitment is three months. After that it runs month to month, and leaving takes 30 days notice. Everything built lives in the owner's own accounts and is theirs to keep, whether they stay or go. The first month has its own rhythm: a fit call and a 60-minute interview in week 1, a personal AI context file installed in the owner's own AI account in week 2, then practice and fixing friction in weeks 3 and 4.
Training, priced by the room
Team training is a custom quote, priced to the room: how many people attend, whether it happens on Zoom or in person, and how much is tailored to the team's actual work. Sessions run 90 minutes and up, and one can cover a single owner or a whole team. Tell the company about the room, and a plan and a quote come within one business day, before anything is booked.
The training is hands-on and built on approved real tasks. People leave with take-home routines, safe-use ground rules and a follow-up check-in.
The costs beyond the price tag
Owners usually need one AI subscription, such as ChatGPT or Claude, paid directly to the tool company. The monthly service names any such cost before anything is bought. Bigger builds, like API connections, CRM integrations, hosted agents or dashboards, are scoped and quoted separately before work starts.
On savings: Texas AI Lab does not guarantee them. It picks useful work, measures what changed and reports honestly. Any vendor promising a guaranteed return on AI work is selling a certainty that does not exist.
Ways to start without spending anything
An owner does not have to sign anything to make progress. Free options exist: Texas AI Lab publishes an AI Starter Prompt Pack with ten prompts, including versions for home services, accountants and insurance agents. An owner can also take the free prompt pack, work through one task with an AI tool they already pay for, and see whether AI helps before hiring anyone.
- 01Book the free fit call
A 25-minute Zoom call, booked on the contact page, that looks at two tasks repeating in the owner's week.
- 02Pick one first result
The call ends with one result worth having, agreed before any money moves.
- 03Download the prompt pack
The free AI Starter Prompt Pack gives ten prompts to try with any AI tool already in use.
- 04Ask for written prices
Whether with Texas AI Lab or anyone else, get the price in writing before the second call.
- 05Choose a path
The monthly service at the published price, or a training plan and quote within one business day.
For owners who want a person instead of a project, the AI Concierge service covers that side, and the same published prices and terms apply everywhere the company works: Williamson County, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, and the towns around each.
